Eastern Indonesia Expected to Appear as Large as NU and Muhammadiyah Islamic Organizations

BONSERNEWS.com – Deputy Speaker of the MPR Fadel Muhammad revealed that Indonesia has many national-scale Islamic organizations, and there are two major ones whose existence and contributions have colored the journey of the Indonesian nation and state, there is no doubt, namely Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and Muhammadiyah.

In Eastern Indonesia, continued the MPR leadership from the DPD RI Group for the Electoral District of Gorontalo Province, there are also very extraordinary Islamic organizations. One of them is AlKhairaat.

“This organization has a very good historical track record as well, both for religion and for the state. So, AlKhairaat can be put on a par as a national-level Islamic organization on a par with NU and Muhammadiyah, which emerged from Eastern Indonesia,” he said, Thursday, May 20, 2023.

Fadel Muhammad explained, since Alkhairaat was first established in Palu in 1930, a great scholar Al’ Alimul ‘Allamah sayyid Idrus bin Salim Al Jufri, has been oriented towards the field of education and has remained consistent until now. There are many educational institutions dedicated to the people, starting from elementary education to higher education.

“Seeing its big role in the education of the community, especially the younger generation, both from a religious perspective and from an intellectual development standpoint, I think AlKhairaat can get great attention and support from both the central and regional governments,” said the former Governor of Gorontalo for two terms.

Fadel added, the government’s attention and support for AlKhairaat is because AlKhairaat is a national asset that must be maintained, so that it continues to exist and maintain the quality of this nation’s journey going forward.

“For AlKhairaat himself, I encourage him to continue to improve the quality of his learning and teaching materials as well as the welfare of his teaching staff. So that the quality of AlKhairaat educational institutions is maintained and remains the big goal of Indonesia’s young generation in studying,” he concluded.

Present at the event which carried the theme ‘Reorientation and Synergy Towards Progressive, Strong and Independent AlKhairaat’ included the Main Chairman of Alkhairaat Habib Shaykh Alwi Bin Saggaf Aljufri, Secretary of Gorontalo Province Budiyanto Sidiki, Kakanwil Kemenag Prov. Gorontalo HM. Muflih B. Fatah, Chairman of the Gorontalo City MUI KH. Abdul Muin Mooduto, Forkopimda of Gorontalo Province and the AlKhairaat Regional Commissariat (Komda) Leaders throughout Indonesia. ()
