BONSERNEWS.com – Padjadjaran University or Unpad cooperates with the National Defense Institute or Lemhanas RI in the field of tridharma cooperation.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding was held at the Republic of Indonesia’s National Defense and Defense Building in Central Jakarta, Tuesday (27/6/2023).

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding was carried out directly by Unpad Chancellor Prof. Rina Indiastuti with Governor of Lemhanas RI Andi Widjajanto.

During the meeting, Lemhanas also collaborated with other state institutions and state universities.

In his remarks, the Chancellor said that the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding was important as an effort for universities to maintain national resilience and build the integrity of the academic community as one of the nation’s strength assets.

“This Memorandum of Understanding further strengthens us to build integrity, not only to love the nation but how to strengthen national resilience and be able to realize an advanced, just and prosperous Indonesia, especially realizing the Golden Indonesia 2045,” said the Chancellor.

Therefore, said the Chancellor, this collaboration is encouraged to be filled with various useful activities, such as research collaboration, strengthening the character and integrity of students and lecturers and education staff, as well as other activities.

Meanwhile, Andi Widjajanto said, this collaboration was expected to strengthen the realization of the functions and mandates of Lemhanas RI.

Currently, Lemhanas has a number of priority agendas that are mandated by President Joko Widodo. The priority agenda, namely democracy, digital, green economy, blue economy, and the Capital of the Archipelago (IKN).

Apart from that, Lemhanas also has an additional priority agenda in the form of studies on geopolitics and the issue of Papua.

This agenda requires a comprehensive study that needs to be collaborated by Lemhanas with various parties, one of which is a university.

Another task mandated by the President is strengthening the study of Indonesia’s 2045 transformation and strengthening national leadership standards.
