The general chairman of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, and the general chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB), Muhaimin Iskandar, have always consulted with Jokowi regarding this matter.
“I think like this, Pak Prabowo and Pak Muhaimin are friends of the President, of course they are also in the current incumbent coalition,” said Habiburokhman, Tuesday 4 July 2023.

“For this strategic matter, they discussed it by asking Pak Jokowi’s opinion as President. It’s only natural that the name is bestie, we ask each other’s opinion, OK?” he said.
On the other hand, he considered that the determination of the KKIR deputy vice president would not be tough. Currently, KKIR is also communicating with the Golkar Party and the National Mandate Party (PAN). Meanwhile, PAN has stated that it wants to support Prabowo in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) if Erick Thohir is elected as deputy vice president.

Currently, PKB is scornful of pushing Prabowo-Muhaimin to advance in the 2024 presidential election. However, Prabowo and Gerindra have yet to make a decision, although a number of Gerindra elites continue to state that Muhaimin is the key figure who will determine who Prabowo’s deputy vice president will be.
