Johnny G Plate Undergoes Initial Session on Alleged Corruption in the Provision of Base Transceiver Station Towers

BONSERNEWS.com – The non-active Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Johnny G Plate underwent his first trial at the Corruption Crime Court (Tipikor) at the Central Jakarta District Court (PN), Tuesday (27/6/2023).
The non-active Secretary General (Secretary General) of the Nasdem Party arrived at 10.26 WIB under tight guard by officers.
He was seen wearing batik and a white mask when he entered the courtroom of Prof. Muhammad Hatta Ali. Not a single Nasdem Party politician was seen present in the courtroom.

After Johnny G Plate sat on the defendant’s seat, the panel of judges arrived and opened the hearing by asking about the condition of the defendants.
“Brother Johnny is healthy,” asked Chairman of the Panel of Judges Fahzal Hendri in the courtroom at the Corruption Court in Jakarta, Tuesday. “Healthy, Your Majesty,” said Johnny G Plate. Then, Fahzal checked the identity of the non-active Minister of Communication and Information.
In this case, Johnny G Plate is undergoing trial with Main Director of Bakti Kominfo Anang Achmad Latif and 2020 University of Indonesia Human Development Expert (Hudev), Yohan Suryanto, who will undergo the first trial.

The three are accused of alleged corruption in the provision of 4G base transceiver station (BTS) towers and supporting infrastructure 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 Service of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo) 2020-2022.
In this trial, the defendants will hear the reading of the indictment by the public prosecutor (JPU) at the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung).
Apart from the three, there are also three other defendants who will attend their first trial the following week.
They are the Main Director of PT Mora Telematics Indonesia, Gauntung Menak Simanjuntak; Account Director of Integrated Account Department of PT Huawei Tech Investment, Mukti Ali; and Commissioner of PT Solitech Media Sinergy, Irwan Hermawan.
The case with the defendants Gahole Menak Simanjuntak, Mukti Ali, and Irwan Hermawan is scheduled to be held on Tuesday 4 July 2023 at 10.30 WIB in the Wirjono Projodikoro 1 courtroom.
Central Jakarta District Court Public Relations official Zulkifli Atjo explained that the case on behalf of the defendants Johnny G Plate, Anang and Yohan was a splitsing case file.
The splitsing file in question is one case file which contains several criminal acts committed by several defendants.
“On June 27, Johnny G Plate’s first trial with two other defendants with splitsing files, on behalf of Anang Achmad Latif and Yohan Suryanto,” said Central Jakarta District Court Public Relations official Zulkifli Atjo.
