BONSERNEWS.com – The month of Dzulhijjah is one of the months awaited by all Muslims in the world.
In this month, Muslims will perform the Hajj rituals and celebrate Eid al-Adha.
In the month of Dzulhijjah, we are encouraged to increase our acts of worship such as remembrance, fasting, reading the Al-Quran and all sunnah practices.
Then, when do Muslims observe the Dzulhijjah fast?

Dzulhijjah fasting is fasting that is done during the first ten days of Dzulhijjah.
As for sunnah fasting on the 1st to 9th of Dzulhijjah, it is explained in a hadith, Rasulullah said
مَا مِنْ أَيَّامٍ الْعَمَلُ الصَّالِحُ فِيهَا أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللهِ مِنْ هٰذِهِ الأَيَّامِ. يَعْنِيْ أَيَّامَ الْعَشْرِ. قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَلَا الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّٰهِ قَالَ وَلَا الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّٰهِ إِ لَّا رَجُلٌ خَرَجَ بِنَفْسِهِ وَمَالِهِ فَلَمْ يَرْجِعْ مِنْ ذَلِكَ بِشَيْءٍ
Meaning: “There is no day when good deeds are more loved by Allah than these days, namely the first 10 days of Dzulhijjah. The companions ask: ‘Not even from jihad fi sabilillah?’ He replied: ‘Jihad fi sabilillah also not, unless someone leaves himself and his wealth and then he does not return with either of them,”

The government through the Ministry of Religion has not yet determined 1 Dzulhijjah and Eid al-Adha 1444 Hijriah.
The new Ministry of Religion will hold an Isbat Meeting for the initial determination of Dzulhijjah as well as Eid al-Adha on Sunday 18 June 2023.
Referring to the Joint Decree (SKB) of 3 Ministers, the national holiday commemorating Eid al-Adha 1444 Hijriah is set for Thursday 29 June 2023.
