‘DUO PENTOLAN PARTI’ Meeting, Puan Maharani and AHY at GBK Based on the Spirit of Reconciliation Politics

BONSERNEWS.com – Democratic Party chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) will meet PDI-P DPP Chair Puan Maharani in the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) area, Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday (18/6/2023) morning.
Secretary General (Secretary General) of the Democratic Party Teuku Riefky Harsya said the meeting brought a spirit of unity because so far the relationship between the two political parties (political parties) was not going well.
“The good intentions of these two young leaders are of course based on the political spirit of reconciliation, which will start a new chapter for the presence of synergy, collaboration and mutual cooperation among fellow citizens of the nation,” said Riefky.

He stated that Democrats and PDI-P still respect each other’s current different political positions. This is because both of them are on different axis to face the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).
Currently, PDI-P is exploring cooperation with the United Development Party (PPP), Hanura Party, and Perindo, who both carry Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate (bacapres).
Meanwhile, the Democrats have formed the Coalition for Change for Unity (KPP) with the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) and the Nasdem Party. The three political parties carried Anies Baswedan to fight for the RI-1 seat.

“We realize that this meeting can be a strong foundation to prevent divisions and clashes among the nation’s children in the face of the 2024 elections,” he said.
Finally, as a fellow political party that has won elections or been in the opposition, Riefky hopes that Puan and AHY’s meeting will not only discuss today’s practical politics.
“The partnership and cooperation between PDI-P and the Democratic Party in the future are expected to be broader and reach a more fundamental national agenda,” he added.
It is known that the PDI-P and the Democrat Party are in a close relationship after previously appearing to be distant.
The PDI-P approach process took place after Puan Maharani stated that AHY was one of the vice presidential candidates being considered to accompany Ganjar Pranowo.
Meanwhile, Member of the Upper House of the Democratic Party Syarief Hasan revealed that the communication between the two political parties last went well when Puan MMaharani’s father, the late Taufik Kiemas served as Chairman of the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly and Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) led Indonesia in the second period, namely in 2009 – 2014.()
