BONSERNEWS.com – President Jokowi officially inaugurated United Development Party (PPP) politician Saiful Rahmat Dasuki as Deputy Minister of Religion Saiful Rahmat Dasuki at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Monday (17/7/2023).
Saiful Rahmat Dasuki was appointed to replace Zainut Tauhid who is also a PPP politician.
The man who is usually called Gus Saiful, currently also serves as Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPW PPP.

He was elected as Chair of PPP Jakarta at the Regional Conference (Muswil) which was held on 27 May 2021.
Before being active in PPP, he was known to be active as a Nahdlatul Ulama cadre.
He has served as Chair of the Regional Leadership of GP Ansor Jakarta in 2016-2021.

Previously, President Joko Widodo or Jokowi carried out a cabinet reshuffle, Monday (17/7/2023).
Jokowi appointed the Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) and a number of deputy ministers (wamen) at the State Palace in Jakarta.
President (Keppres) Number 62/P of 2023 concerning the appointment of the Minister of Communication and Information for the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet.
Meanwhile, the inauguration of deputy ministers was based on Presidential Decree Number 32 M of 2023 concerning Dismissal and Appointment of Deputy State Ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet.
Jokowi inaugurated the General Chairperson of the Pro Jokowi Volunteers (ProJo) as well as the Deputy Minister of Villages for the Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration (Wamendes PDTT) Budi Arie Setiadi as Menkominfo.
He replaced Johnny G. Plate who became a suspect in the 4G Base Transceiver Station (BTS) corruption case.
