The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government’s Plan to Divide Two Office Hours Will Make the Business World Even More Inefficient

BONSERNEWS.com – The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) plans to divide office hours into 08.00 WIB and 10.00 WIB.
This was done as a solution to solving the problem of traffic jams that occur in the capital city.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of the Indonesian Shopping Center Management Association (APPBI) Alphonzus Widjaja said that the division of office hours in DKI Jakarta would make the business world even more inefficient.

This is because, according to him, various office activities/activities do not stand alone but are carried out jointly between one division and another.
“The division of office hours will make the business world even more inefficient because it will force the extension of time for various activities due to differences in the start and end of various activities,” said Alphonzus.
“Various business activities do not stand alone but are interrelated with one another, the division of office hours will also not be effective in reducing congestion and will likely even extend the congestion time because it cannot be ensured that the public will not take advantage of the difference in office hours to other activities,” he added.

As is known, the plan for the division of working hours in the Capital City area was first conveyed by Acting (Acting) Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono some time ago.
“On this occasion, I will present a number of traffic jam solutions that can be taken, including the proposed division of employee entry hours in Jakarta to 08.00 and 10.00,” he said in an upload on his Instagram account @herubudihartono.
In that way, he opened up other inputs and ideas to deal with traffic jams in Jakarta.
“Various ideas and input to evaluation of existing policies were also discussed together,” he concluded.
