BONSERNEWS.com – The head of the Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection Agency (BP2MI) Benny Ramdhani said that members of the TNI and Polri were involved in supporting the crime of trafficking in persons (TPPO).

He stated that this business has not been touched so far because it is backed by elements who have attributes of power.

“This is an era of openness, I say that there are members of the National Police involved, elements of the TNI are involved,” said Benny, Tuesday, July 4, 2023.

He also admitted that there was a BP2MI member who was allegedly involved and now he has been dismissed.

Most recently, he claimed to have received information from PPATK Head Ivan Yustiavandana regarding a staff member at BP2MI who was suspected of receiving funds from a TIP syndicate.

“Tomorrow we will carry out a summons, an intensive examination will surely lead to severe sanctions leading to dismissal. We are waiting for the results of the team’s examination,” he said. ()
