However, some netizens argue that there is no problem with the graduation procession at the PAUD-SMA level.

However, through this SE, the Ministry of Education and Culture appealed to the graduation procession and the graduation ceremony for students not to be burdensome and not to be an obligation.

This circular letter, which was issued on June 23, 2023, is addressed to heads of provincial education offices, heads of district/city education offices, and heads of education units throughout Indonesia.

It is known that the legal basis for the rules regarding PAUD-SMA graduation is based on four regulations, namely Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System, Law Number 23 of 2014 concerning Regional Government, Government Regulation Number 17 of 2010 concerning Management and Implementation of Education which has been amended by Government Regulation Number 66 of 2010, and Government Regulation Number 12 of 2017 concerning the Development and Supervision of Regional Government Administration, as well as Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 75 of 2016 concerning School Committees.
